Blogger Backgrounds

It's been a while...

Yep! It's time for the semi-annual updating of the Boizelle blog! Best two days of my year!

I figured out why I procrastinate though. It's all those stupid pictures and videos I try to upload. They take forever, and half the time they don't work anyway when I do get them up. This blog is picture and video free! I know, lame, right? But at least I updated.

Will and I are in Canada right now, visiting my family while Jon is away on business trips. Yes, we finally made it after all that trouble. I swear the US/ Canada border is the bane of my life. Jon's in Chicago now, and he'll be in Houston next week. It's a bummer not seeing him for two weeks, but it's even more of a bummer for him because Will is teething and almost crawling. It's a toss up to see whether or not we'll make it home before he either crawls for the first time or gets his first tooth. Jon's sad he might miss those momentous moments. I'm just glad I'm here and not at home so that my mom can help me with the grouchy, teething baby.

Will finally had his 4 month Dr visit (on his 51/2 month b-day). He weighs in at a hefty 16.8lbs and measures 25.5 in. He's on the small side of the scale, sitting right around the 35-40th percentile for both weight and height, but at least he's not falling off the charts yet like Jon did. My mom thinks he's scrawny, but he's got cheeks that would provide a convenient hiding place for a squirrel's nut collection.

On a side note, I got my luggage finally, after the airline left it sitting in SLC. You'd think a 4 hour layover would be enough time to get it right, but not this time. I've been wandering around the house without glasses for three days. Not pleasant. Not to mention borrowing my mom's shirts. And Will only has three outfits (we bought him two of those), all three of which he promptly soiled yesterday and there was nothing I could do about it! Hurray for having your own stuff

In other news, Jon and I bought our first car together. It's a used Mazda 3 hatchback in silver with a manual transmission. Jon's in love with the new car. It was the first hatchback we test drove and he decided then and there that it was the car for him! I made him test drive a couple others just to make sure. I seem to have an aversion to buying the first car we test drove. We decided Jon gets to drive it while I drive our Honda, so he's pleased as punch.

That's all for today folks. Don't forget to tune in 6 months from now for the next official blog post!

Nooooo! Will can't get teeth before Kaelyn does! Sigh...

In all reality, Jon would likely not see many of Will's "first" moments simply due to not being with him constantly. Don't worry, the moments are just as great when he sees them for the first time!

Oh no! Don't make us wait another 6 months! I want to know what's going on in your life more often than that!

I'm glad things are going well though. And what a scrawny boy you have! I guess it runs in the genes - you both too skinny for your own good.

Awesome! A post! I check every once in a while, and this time I actually closed it back up again before realizing that something looked different! Glad you got to visit home, even if it has been crazy.

Thanks for posting Steph! I was hoping you'd get time while having grandma watch Will-I'm always wondering how things are going!! Good to hear that you are all doing well. Get that boy crawling and your life will never be the same again! ;) (trust me, even rolling doesn't get them into as much trouble as crawling does).
